About the position

The Clinical Business Systems Operations Manager will oversee the operations of the clinical platform, Guiding Care, ensuring alignment with CareFirst Plan requirements across various health services functions. This role involves managing system configurations, testing, issue resolution, and report generation, while also leading a team to optimize system performance in a high-availability environment. The position is remote but requires occasional in-person attendance at CareFirst locations for meetings and training.

Responsibilities

• Manage the team's leadership and planning efforts, including hiring, coaching, and developing team members.
• Evaluate team performance and set goals in line with corporate policy.
• Ensure successful completion of day-to-day changes and corporate initiatives by managing resources effectively.
• Oversee the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities, including request analysis and acceptance testing.
• Handle day-to-day enhancements, error handling, and documentation updates.
• Develop and manage the team's budget and operational processes.
• Prepare daily operations performance reports by analyzing data and trends.
• Direct planning sessions to align team operations with departmental goals.
• Assist in developing project management plans and resource estimates for initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5 years of Business Analysis experience.
• 1 year of supervisory or progressive leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience with technologies and systems supported by the department.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with health insurance operations and healthcare systems.
• Direct experience with the Guiding Care platform.
• Progressive experience in system operations and functional testing.
