About the position
The Clinical Care Leader (CCL) at Good Samaritan Society is responsible for providing individualized nursing care in a long-term care setting. This role involves collaborating with inter-professional colleagues to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations. The CCL utilizes technology to enhance care quality, supervises unlicensed personnel, and serves in leadership roles within the organization. Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and critical thinking skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the home setting.
- Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Document resident history, symptoms, medications, and care provided in compliance with standards/regulations.
- Utilize technology to enhance quality resident care and collaborate with team members.
- Effectively delegate to and supervise unlicensed personnel.
- Assume overall nursing accountability for resident assignments.
- Serve in leadership roles on department/organizational task forces and committees.
- Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge.
- Utilize appropriate age and population-specific standards in care delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred.
- Minimum of two years' long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on location.
Nice-to-haves
- Minimum Data Set (MDS) experience preferred but not required.
- Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process experience preferred but not required.
