About the position

The Outpatient Therapist at AMHC is responsible for providing comprehensive behavioral health assessment, treatment, consultation, and educational services to a diverse clientele, including adults, adolescents, children, and families. This role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that services meet clinical standards while embodying the core values of integrity, compassion, excellence, service, collaboration, and respect.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the assessment of service needs related to mental health and substance abuse.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that define services and interventions.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation to ensure continuity of services.
• Participate in AMHC's 24-hour Emergency Service system providing consultation and direct emergency assessment services.
• Maintain the expected caseload to promote a service-focused program.
• Open and maintain case records according to AMHC policies and state regulations.
• Provide a welcoming and respectful environment for clients seeking support.
• Deliver integrated services that support clients' overall health and well-being.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling, or a Ph.D. or Psy.D.
• An active license in the State of Maine as an LCSW, LMSW-CC, LCPC, or LCPC-C.
