About the position
The Clinical Coordinator at DaVita is a vital Registered Nurse role focused on providing exceptional care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. This position involves coordinating patient care, mentoring clinical staff, and ensuring the highest level of safety and comfort for patients in a hospital setting. The role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work in various facilities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate ESRD patient care and services, including tracking lab values and vital signs.
- Ensure the clinical team delivers the highest level of care to patients.
- Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
- Oversee a group of patients with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
- Conduct patient observations and manage machine setup.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification required.
- At least 18 months of registered nursing experience.
- Dialysis Charge RN readiness approval by clinical Nurse Manager or RN-licensed FA/GFA required.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; B.S.N preferred.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required.
Nice-to-haves
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) preferred.
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience is preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
