In this role, the Clinical Coordinator/Project Manager will provide project coordination and support with strong emotional intelligence to help meet departmental, organizational, and system goals. This position is responsible for initiating, defining, planning, documenting, coordinating, and implementing the execution of all activities within the lifecycle of high-priority clinical quality and safety initiatives. The Clinical Coordinator/Project Manager will utilize clinical expertise to coordinate patient care episodes across the care continuum, identify instances of clinical variability, and make appropriate inferences of clinical outcomes to support initiatives around evidence-based practice. Additionally, this role will serve as a clinical content expert on local, state, and federal regulations and monitor compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies' standards and requirements. The Clinical Coordinator/Project Manager will foster a sustainable culture using the ISO 9001 quality management system, ensuring effective measurement and monitoring of systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project coordination and support to meet departmental, organizational, and system goals.
  • Initiate, define, plan, document, coordinate, and implement project activities for clinical quality and safety initiatives.
  • Utilize clinical expertise to coordinate patient care episodes across the care continuum.
  • Identify instances of clinical variability and make inferences of clinical outcomes to support evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Serve as a clinical content expert on local, state, and federal regulations and monitor compliance with standards and requirements.
  • Foster a sustainable culture using the ISO 9001 quality management system for effective measurement and monitoring of processes.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collect, synthesize, and share data trends with the healthcare team to drive process improvement strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for quality improvement and work to achieve evidence-based practices.
  • Manage risks to successful project completion and notify stakeholders of issues as they arise.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, cross-functional team members, and vendors.
  • Coordinate utilization of resources to deliver quality care in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor and assess staffing scheduling processes for improvement.
  • Coordinate Leader Visits on Patients to provide feedback to nursing staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or other healthcare-related discipline.
  • 3+ years of Acute Care experience.
  • Current valid State of Florida or Multi State license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of Acute Care experience.
  • Master's degree.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Change Management Certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
