About the position

The Senior Database Administrator for Cardiology is a pivotal role responsible for safeguarding data as a vital resource and ensuring the seamless integration of data across various cardiovascular sources and software modules. This position entails the development, maintenance, support, and enforcement of data standards across all cardiovascular (CV) modules and applications. The Senior Database Administrator will also oversee the ongoing development and management of all CV computerized databases, which includes generating reports for clinical, quality, and administrative management purposes. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of data, which is crucial for effective patient care and operational efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Protect data as a resource and ensure integration across cardiovascular source and software modules.
  • Develop, maintain, support, and enforce data standards across all CV modules and applications.
  • Manage ongoing development and administration of all CV computerized databases.
  • Generate reports for clinical, quality, and administrative management purposes.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience with clinical terminology and/or clinical information system implementation in a healthcare environment.
  • 3 years of experience working with database structures, data definitions, and data relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Health Information Management, Business, or a healthcare-related field.
  • Certification on the related product or group of products upon hire.
