About the position

The Clinical Data Associate (CDA) at Mayo Clinic plays a crucial role in supporting clinical trials by managing data collection, entry, and compliance with regulatory guidelines. This position involves coordinating study details, assisting with patient scheduling, and ensuring accurate data management while adhering to federal and institutional protocols. The CDA will work under the supervision of the study team and research leadership, contributing to the overall success of clinical research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating study details and documentation concerning study protocols.
• Perform data collection, data entry, and data management for clinical trials.
• Manage the study database as directed by the research leadership.
• Create source documents and redact protected patient information under HIPAA privacy laws.
• Schedule clinical research monitor visits and maintain the monitor visit calendar.
• Serve as the campus visitor escort to various locations as needed.
• Independently prioritize assignments and complete ongoing tasks following established research regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with general office responsibilities or research-related projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma with medical terminology or clinical experience preferred.
• Prior data entry experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and demonstrated critical thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in clinical research or data management is preferred.
