About the position

The Clinical Dietitian I provides age appropriate nutrition care with an emphasis on family centered care through competent practice, education, and consultation; participates as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team; serves as a resource for the medical and nursing staff, ancillary team members and community providers. Will utilize clinical practice & knowledge of pediatric nutrition, the nutrition care process, & medical nutrition therapy to provide evidence-based nutrition care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide age appropriate nutrition care with an emphasis on family centered care.
  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team.
  • Serve as a resource for medical and nursing staff, ancillary team members, and community providers.
  • Utilize clinical practice and knowledge of pediatric nutrition to provide evidence-based nutrition care.

Requirements

  • Completion of a minimum of twelve (12) weeks Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited dietetic internship in an acute care setting.
  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Dietetics or Nutrition related field from an accredited university.
  • Successful completion of the registration exam to become a Registered Dietitian within 45 days of hire.
  • California Children's Services (CCS) panel-eligible within two years of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • One year of clinical nutrition experience, pediatrics preferred.
  • Registered Dietician Licensure.
  • California Children's Services (CCS) paneled.
