About the position
The Clinical Dietitian I position at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region focuses on assessing and improving the nutritional status of patients. This entry-level role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide tailored nutrition plans and education to patients and their families, particularly in oncology settings. The role emphasizes the importance of cultural sensitivity and effective communication in enhancing patient care and experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform nutritional assessments using age and gender appropriate standards and validated tools.
- Implement targeted nutrition interventions and provide customized education to patients and families.
- Develop intervention plans that include appropriate feeding routes and nutrition prescriptions.
- Collaborate with the Food and Nutrition Services team to enhance patient experience and ensure compliance with diet orders.
- Participate in peer reviews, chart audits, and training for clinical staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with completion of an accredited dietetics program (ACEND).
- Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Valid dietitian licensure as required by state, to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
