About The Position

The Clinical Director for Behavioral Health at UnitedHealth Group's Optum division in Beverly Hills, CA, is responsible for managing the overall administrative functions of the clinic. This role involves overseeing staff hiring, monitoring profitability, and ensuring effective communication with corporate departments. The Clinical Director will also provide leadership, support business development, and may carry a clinical caseload while mentoring site leaders and administrative staff.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (LMHC, LICSW, PsyD, PhD) in Mental Health in the state of California.
• 3+ years of experience leading, managing, and driving change in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience as a leader in a healthcare/behavioral health, growth-oriented organization.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Recommend, develop, and assist in the strategic long-range planning process for all clinic departments.
• Make recommendations for business development and expansion opportunities within assigned territories.
• Support the implementation of all expansion projects.
• Provide leadership and mentoring for site leaders and administrative staff in establishing department objectives related to clinical practice, staffing, policies, and procedures.
• Support the professional growth and development of clinical staff.
• May carry a clinical caseload.
• Collaborate in developing annual budgets and review and analyze monthly financial performance to achieve yearly budget.
