About the position

As a Clinical Director at Recovery Centers of America (RCA), you will provide direct oversight of the facility's Clinical Department, managing staff hiring, supervision, and evaluation. Your role will involve directing clinical programs and initiatives, ensuring effective patient care, and providing crisis support. You will collaborate with the corporate clinical team to develop strategies for program growth and provide clinical training to staff and interns, all while contributing to the mission of helping individuals recover from addiction.

Responsibilities

  • Directly oversee Clinical Supervisors, Primary Therapists, and Group Facilitators, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and coaching.
  • Support day-to-day operations by overseeing assessment, active treatment, discharge planning, and milieu management.
  • Ensure adequate clinical staff to provide patient care services while adhering to FTE budgets.
  • Collaborate with the QA department to ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing standards.
  • Work with the clinical team to address patient concerns and reduce barriers to treatment.
  • Provide clinical supervision focused on trauma-informed and family-oriented care.
  • Engage in in-vivo supervision/observation of group psychotherapy to enhance staff skills.
  • Facilitate clinical meetings and provide consultation to staff alongside the Medical Director and Director of Nursing.
  • Represent the facility and RCA in the community with professionalism.
  • Provide crisis management and model patient-focused de-escalation skills.
  • Assist in planning and implementing enterprise-wide clinical initiatives.
  • Participate in the QAPI process through chart audits and data collection.
  • Support the CEO in assessing community needs and developing new programming.
  • Work with the utilization management team to ensure high-quality clinical documentation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related field required; Ph.D. preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Licensure as an LCADC, LPC, LSW, or LCSW is required.
  • CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) designation if located in New Jersey.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • 5-7 years in a clinical management role, leading people and managing processes.
  • Proven track record of excellent operations performance.
