About the position

The Clinical Domain Data Architect role is designed for a pharmaceutical client, focusing on establishing and maintaining a robust data architecture framework that integrates various aspects of healthcare operations. The position requires a technical leader with extensive experience in data modeling and architecture, ensuring that data is not only maintained but also managed effectively to be reliable, authentic, accurate, current, and useful. The architect will engage with stakeholders at all levels, build cross-functional relationships, and develop innovative architecture strategies to enhance clinical and medical digital solutions globally.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing a data architecture framework that incorporates all aspects of healthcare operations.
  • Maintaining data integrity and organization within the established framework throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Determining data flow within the organization, identifying data sources and optimizing movement between departments.
  • Engaging with all levels of the organization to build clearly defined architecture patterns and strategies.
  • Communicating and fostering alignment across the organization.
  • Building strong cross-functional relationships with team members and external partners.
  • Generating breakthrough architecture strategies and enabling others to do so.
  • Making day-to-day decisions regarding architecture standards for Enterprise Clinical & Medical digital solutions globally.
  • Presenting issues and recommending solutions to Global, Senior, and Executive Management.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in data architecture with a solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and modern data frameworks (e.g., DataBricks, Snowflake, Azure).
  • Ability to work with standards such as CDISC to manage the clinical information lifecycle.
  • Experience in constructing cross study, cross modal data analysis, visualization, and interpretation.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to mentor and inspire teams, fostering accountability and innovation.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking to align with long-term objectives.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills capable of handling complex challenges.
  • A career history demonstrating growth to high-level roles through significant contributions to business needs and technical innovations.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a preference for advanced degrees.
