The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is the flagship academic medical center at the heart of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and includes the 789-bed downtown Baltimore campus and the 177-bed midtown campus one mile north. Home to the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center and The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, we're the highest-volume trauma center in the United States. We are looking for a talented Clinical Education Coordinator to join our team here at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, expertise and services within the Department of Nursing in the areas of clinical education, program management and professional development.
  • Develops and manages a broad variety of educational services that facilitate the delivery of high quality care and contribute to the professional development of staff.
  • Enhances the professional image of the Department of Nursing by marketing high quality educational offerings internally and externally.
  • Collaborates with professional peers in the community and actively participates in community outreach programs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field is required.
  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Maryland is required.
  • Five years clinical experience in nursing, which includes recent experience in an acute care setting is required.
  • One year in a role performing staff education is required.
  • ICU or CCU experience is required for Supplemental Staffing department.

Nice-to-haves

  • Course work in education is preferred.
