Clinical Education Coordinator, (RN)

About the position

The Clinical Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating clinical education for the hospital including New Employee Orientation, Nursing Internship Program, PBDS Assessments, CPR marathons, JCAHO Compliance and Competency Days. This role involves managing educational material used in orientation, PBDS, CPR, electronic library/resources and other programs taught by Clinical Educators. The coordinator serves as the hospital contact/resource to school coordinators, instructors, and students, ensuring compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, Confidentiality, and hospital requirements. The position also includes organizing yearly schedules for assessments, preparing departmental payroll, and coordinating meetings and programs related to the Director and Clinical Educators.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical education for the hospital including New Employee Orientation and Nursing Internship Program.
• Manage educational material for orientation, PBDS, CPR, and other programs.
• Serve as hospital contact/resource to school coordinators, instructors, and students.
• Coordinate student compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, Confidentiality, and hospital requirements.
• Organize yearly schedule for initial clinical assessments and reassessments.
• Prepare and administer individualized assessments for each RN new hire.
• Prepare departmental payroll and coordinate schedule for meetings and programs.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with co-workers and patients.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable for the department.
• Prepare monthly budget reports and variance analysis.
• Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory in-services and competency evaluations.

Requirements

• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• No Certification and Licensure Requirements required or preferred.
