About the position

The Clinical Engineering Operations Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Clinical Engineering Department by coordinating service requests, managing equipment data, and processing parts orders. This position ensures compliance with standards while maintaining a respectful and empathetic approach in all interactions with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain computerized equipment inventory and service history for medical and diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Receive service requests and dispatch technicians or specialists accordingly.
• Perform clerical functions to ensure efficient service response.
• Process and expedite repair parts requisitions and returns for service technicians to minimize equipment downtime.
• Create monthly status reports for the Director regarding budget status and maintenance work orders.
• Maintain service manuals, software, PM procedures, and service contract documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of experience in service scheduling and office management.
• Proficient computer skills, including spreadsheet and equipment inventory software applications.
• Knowledge of budget and accounting practices.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
