About the position

The Clinical Field Specialist will play a crucial role in the Critical Care division of BD Advanced Patient Monitoring, focusing on providing education and technical support for products within the Critical Care portfolio. This position involves direct interaction with medical staff in various acute care settings, ensuring effective use of monitoring products to improve patient outcomes. The role requires collaboration with sales teams and the ability to anticipate challenges in product implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide education on products within the Critical Care portfolio through intra-operative case coverage.
  • Coordinate one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service education programs in the ICU, OR, and other acute care areas.
  • Provide clinical instructions to physicians and medical staff to ensure continuity of education and technical support.
  • Anticipate and foresee obstacles to ensure smooth execution of product use.
  • Advocate with clinicians to uncover opportunities to expand the use of Critical Care products.
  • Identify and train select hospital staff members to act as designated guides on products.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives and managers to implement strategic plans in the territory.
  • Validate software and hardware updates in the field as applicable.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of previous clinical experience in an acute care environment.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing or clinical field required.
  • Proven understanding of cardiovascular science, anatomy, pathology, and physiology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Critical Care and/or Cardiac Clinical Experience - TVC, CV ICU or CV OR nursing experience highly preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
  • Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Experience in a clinical or sales role within a Medical Device company.
  • Confirmed proficiency presenting in front of other groups.
  • Shown leadership progressing within the Nursing field.
  • Proven ability to inspire change within their hospital/organization.
