About the position

The position involves serving as a technical and clinical resource for the Epic Clinical Documentation system. The individual will be responsible for building and supporting the system, ensuring that clinical personnel are educated on how to effectively use the technology in their daily tasks. This role requires a working knowledge of clinical informatics and the ability to maintain various clinical IT systems, including EpicCare Inpatient, EpicCare Clinical Documentation, EpicCare ASAP, Electronic T-Systems for the Emergency Room, GE QS for Labor and Delivery, and Epic OpTime for the Emergency Room. The individual will also act as the primary point of contact for assigned clinical areas, facilitating communication and support for the technology used in those areas.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical and clinical resource for the Epic Clinical Documentation system.
• Educate clinical personnel on the use of technology in their job performance.
• Maintain responsibility for clinical IT systems including EpicCare Inpatient, EpicCare Clinical Documentation, EpicCare ASAP, Electronic T-Systems (ER), GE QS (Labor and Delivery), and Epic OpTime (ER).
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clinical areas.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of clinical informatics.
• One of the following certifications within 12 months of placement into position: Epic OpTime, EpicCare Inpatient, EpicCare Clinical Documentation, EpicCare ASAP (Emergency Room Documentation System).

• Multiple Epic certifications.
