About the position

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) at North Memorial Healthcare is responsible for the collection and processing of customer specimens, as well as performing and evaluating a comprehensive range of clinical laboratory tests. This role is crucial for assisting in the diagnosis and monitoring of patient treatment, while actively demonstrating the mission, vision, values, and guiding principles of Maple Grove Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and process customer specimens.
  • Perform and evaluate a full range of clinical laboratory tests.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of customer treatment.
  • Demonstrate the mission, vision, values, and guiding principles of Maple Grove Hospital.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent from an accredited school.
  • Completion of internship in all laboratory disciplines.
  • 2+ years' prior experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of standard laboratory safety practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate standard laboratory equipment.
  • Solid computer skills and knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems.
  • ASCP or equivalent certification or eligibility to sit for Board or Registry exam.
