Responsibilities

• Perform analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Participate in operational support activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot assays.
• Evaluate tests for accuracy and assist in interpreting results.
• Work with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results.
• Adhere to safety protocols when working with infectious specimens and chemicals.
• Assist with specimen collection as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science is required.
• Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems is desirable.
• Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work closely with others.
• Flexibility to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holiday, on-call, and weekend work assignments.
