About the position

The Clinical Lead Medical Assistant (Pediatrics) position at Coast Pediatrics is a full-time role focused on providing leadership and support to the medical assistant team in a pediatric setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in both front and back office operations, demonstrating strong organizational and leadership skills. This role involves training staff, ensuring compliance with care protocols, and improving patient outcomes across multiple clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Supports the mission, vision, and values of Coast Pediatrics.
• Be the point of contact between staff and management.
• Leads and provides direction for the medical assistant team which includes all functions of a medical assistant.
• Ensuring patient care is delivered safely and to a high standard.
• Making sure staff are providing care in compliance with established protocol and policy.
• Working with leadership to establish a training and development plan for clinical staff.
• Works collaboratively with clinic staff to improve patient outcomes.
• Accurately document patient visit history.
• Coordinate daily team huddles with office staff.
• Serve as a back up for clinical team members as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Pediatrics (1 year preferred).
• Valid BLS Certification (Required).
• Valid Medical Assistant Certificate (Preferred).
