About the position
The Clinical Learning and Development Specialist for the NICU at Sanford Health is responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, teaching, and evaluating education and training programs within designated areas. This role emphasizes the development of educational methodologies based on adult learning principles and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective training delivery. The specialist will also facilitate research and serve as a resource for clients, demonstrating leadership and management skills while adapting to organizational changes.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, coordinate, teach, and evaluate education and training programs within designated areas.
- Develop alternative methodologies for education based on adult learning principles.
- Collaborate with leaders, employees, educational facilities, and community agencies.
- Manage and document departmental needs related to compliance and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and provide ongoing education within departments.
- Facilitate research and serve as a resource to clients.
- Analyze and synthesize data to assess educational needs.
- Demonstrate effective collaborative skills with administrators and health team members.
- Respond to and facilitate planned organizational changes through educational processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a clinical field, training and development, organizational development, or healthcare field.
- Minimum of one year of hands-on clinical experience based on licensure.
- Currently holds a professional and unencumbered clinical license.
- Maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
- Additional certifications may include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and others as needed.
Nice-to-haves
- Demonstrated involvement in clinical process improvement initiatives.
- Instructor Trainer certification for BLS may be applicable.
