About the position

Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Manager Ambulatory to join our InovaCares team, focusing on families and pediatrics. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, with hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Fridays. The Clinical Manager will oversee the assigned area to ensure effective performance, which includes hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing team performance, and delegating tasks appropriately. The role requires effective utilization of standards, guidelines, policies, procedures, and clinical pathways to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. The Clinical Manager will also ensure timely and appropriate patient management through multidisciplinary collaboration, while supervising and facilitating the development of staff and overseeing day-to-day activities within the department. The Clinical Manager will be responsible for fostering an environment of respect and growth, where contributions are recognized and rewarded. This position covers InovaCares sites in Alexandria, Annandale, Fairfax, and Mount Vernon, and is integral to maintaining the high standards of care that Inova Health System is known for. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall mission of providing exceptional healthcare services to the community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned area to ensure effective performance.

Requirements

• Education: BSN, MSW, MHA or related Bachelor's Degree (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree); Preferred MSW or Behavioral Health nurse.
• Experience: Three years of experience related to the clinical scope; One year of direct supervisor/manager/team lead experience (4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree).
• Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association; If BSN, licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or LCSW.
