The Clinical Manager for the Community Care School Based Clinic is a pivotal role that combines clinical expertise with operational oversight to ensure the effective delivery of healthcare services in school settings. This position is primarily remote but requires travel to various school clinics across several school districts in Virginia, particularly within Title I schools. The Clinical Manager will supervise staff, providing guidance and support in all aspects of operations, including patient care, customer service, budget management, and risk management. The role demands a strong commitment to compliance with organizational policies, ambulatory care regulations, and standards of care, ensuring that both clinical and non-clinical staff maintain the necessary competencies to deliver high-quality care. In this role, the Clinical Manager will be accountable for developing, monitoring, and engaging team members to enhance financial performance, patient experience, quality, safety, access, and overall team member performance. This includes responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, developing, and retaining staff to create a highly reliable work team. The Clinical Manager must utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills, adapting their leadership style to support the achievement of departmental goals and objectives. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required, while a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred. Additionally, a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire, and ambulatory experience along with specialty certification is preferred. The role also necessitates a solid clinical and technical knowledge of the specific work being performed, as well as previous supervisory or charge experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia and North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Ambulatory experience preferred.
  • Specialty certification preferred.
  • Clinical and technical knowledge of the specific work being performed required.
  • Previous supervisory or charge experience preferred.
