About the position

The Clinical Manager for IDD Day Programs at Elwyn is responsible for overseeing the planning, education, monitoring, and improvement of clinical services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves developing behavioral support plans, conducting assessments, training staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective treatment and support for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) in accordance with funding regulations.
  • Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA's) for each individual upon admission and as needed.
  • Participate in formulating the client's Individual Program Plan (IPP) and attend planning meetings as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Establish and maintain behavior support intervention information and ensure materials are available for implementation.
  • Administer standardized psychological assessments and prepare annual psychological reports.
  • Develop and implement BSP based on FBA's and other assessments.
  • Collaborate with outside Behavioral Specialists for non-residential program participants.
  • Complete functional behavioral analysis through observation and interview.
  • Engage in ongoing data review and analysis to ensure treatment effectiveness.
  • Track data and overall progress of target behaviors using Microsoft Excel.
  • Create training materials and educate staff on alternative communication systems.
  • Train staff in the implementation of Behavioral Support Plans and de-escalation techniques.
  • Ensure all BSP's meet regulatory requirements and follow Elwyn protocols.
  • Interface with the Psychiatry treatment team for medication decisions based on behavioral outcomes.
  • Provide individual behavioral support as needed and observe clients in various environments.
  • Attend administrative staff meetings and participate in parent/family conferences.
  • Perform CPR and crisis intervention techniques as needed.
  • Develop and oversee skill acquisition plans in accordance with each individual's ISP.

Requirements

  • Masters' degree in psychology, Applied Behavioral Analysis, or related field.
  • Two years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or medically complex diagnoses.
  • Coursework in behavior analysis preferred.
  • Familiarity with behavioral analytic treatment approaches.
  • Knowledge of standardized psychological and behavioral assessments.
  • Ability to analyze and report on behavioral data.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of current practices and regulations for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Electronic Health Record systems.
  • Report-writer experience preferred.
