About the position
The Clinical Nurse Consultant plays a crucial role in providing training and consultation on ICU Medical's clinical products and services. This position involves collaboration with a cross-functional team, including Project Managers, Nurses, and Pharmacists, to ensure effective integration and use of infusion devices in clinical settings. The consultant will assess current workflows, educate hospital clinicians, and support customers during and after the implementation of ICU Medical products.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Clinical Nursing Lead, collaborating with Pharmacy, Nursing, IT, Project Management, and Materials Management teams.
- Participate in the technology integration of ICU Medical infusion devices with EHR vendors to ensure proper medication administration.
- Assess current clinical workflows in healthcare facilities and provide recommendations for future improvements.
- Plan, execute, and follow up on educational sessions for hospital clinicians regarding infusion device usage.
- Escalate risks and customer issues to the project manager as necessary.
- Provide go-live and post go-live support to customers using ICU Medical products and solutions.
- Present information to diverse audiences in various settings.
- Act as a Clinical Subject Matter Expert for both internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current US RN license is mandatory.
- Minimum of 7 years of recent RN experience, preferably in oncology, trauma, emergency department, or critical care.
- Prior leadership experience in nursing is highly desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with infusion systems, safety software, and EMR is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
- Ability to lead virtual meetings and possess analytical skills with knowledge of statistics.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience leading or participating in virtual meetings is desirable.
- Knowledge of leading web-ex meetings is highly preferred.
