About the position
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for the Cath Lab at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is responsible for providing clinical expertise and leadership to ensure high-quality patient care in the unit. This role involves assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient care, as well as instructing patients and families on medications and treatment. The CNC will also maintain patient records, administer medications, and lead the nursing team during designated shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of patients in the unit.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Provide leadership to the nursing team during designated shifts.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a Cath Lab or similar environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- PC skills.
