About The Position

Requirements

• Possession of an active California Registered Nurse License without restrictions or a California Interim Permit from an approved nursing program.
• Possession of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Basic Life Saving Certification (BLS) is required during employment.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Saving Certification (ACLS) may be required for clinical specialty areas.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in supervising nursing staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain data for nursing assessment from patients and/or families.
• Utilize assessment data to formulate nursing diagnoses.
• Observe patient behavior and document it clearly and concisely.
• Identify patient care problems and establish priorities for care.
• Initiate patient care plans under direction and collaborate with other staff members.
• Monitor compliance with safety standards and care protocols.
• Document nursing care provided and the patient's response to care.
• Evaluate the patient's response to care and communicate outcomes to appropriate staff.
