About the position

The Clinical Nurse in the Medical - Surgical C3E department is responsible for providing compassionate and effective nursing care to patients, families, and colleagues. This role involves implementing physician orders, administering medications, and performing various medical procedures while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Implement physician orders and administer medications.
  • Start IVs and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests.
  • Document treatment as required by company policy and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in a clinical nursing role, preferably in a medical-surgical setting.
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
