Responsibilities

  • Take and record vital signs as directed by nursing staff.
  • Provide support to patients and their families, ensuring a courteous and compassionate environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training related to the CNA role.
  • Follow defined policies and procedures in patient care.

Requirements

  • Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and listed on the State of Maine Registry.
  • 0-6 months of CNA experience, with on-the-job training provided.
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at a high school education level.
