About the position
The position involves providing clinical instruction to freshman or sophomore level students in the Associate Degree Nursing Program, specifically during the Day Option on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters. The instructor will be responsible for various duties including clinical instruction in areas such as Med/Surg and Pediatrics, assessing student learning needs, evaluating students, attending faculty team meetings, and collaborating with faculty and facility/agency to enhance student learning. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction (Med/Surg, Pediatrics) to nursing students.
- Conduct assessment of student learning needs.
- Evaluate students' performance and learning outcomes.
- Attend faculty team meetings to discuss curriculum and student progress.
- Collaborate with faculty and facility/agency to enhance student learning experiences.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License.
- Master's degree in Nursing or a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited program and matriculated into a master's program with expected completion in 5 years (proof of matriculation must be submitted with application).
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited program and possession of a related non-nursing graduate degree.
- Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) status obtained through a certifying organization.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited program and will obtain a CNE within 3 years.
- Ability to create an environment conducive to learning.
- Ability to adapt to new technology.
Nice-to-haves
- Clinical experience in Nursing.
