About the position

The Clinical Nutrition Database Specialist is responsible for maintaining the CBORD foodservice software program, ensuring the accuracy of nutritionals, allergens, recipes, and food items used in the Nutritional Services department. This role serves as a key resource for various stakeholders, including the Adventist Information Technology department and clinical nutrition staff, and involves integrating CBORD into clinical applications, providing training, and facilitating projects to ensure patient safety and compliance with dietary regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the CBORD foodservice software program by monitoring nutritionals, allergens, recipes, and food items.
  • Serve as an expert resource for CBORD interface issues and provide support to campus NS directors and dietitians.
  • Integrate CBORD into clinical and AIT applications.
  • Develop and provide training related to all CBORD databases.
  • Facilitate projects and assignments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain a test environment to ensure accuracy of information before entering the live menu environment.
  • Facilitate CBORD upgrades and provide menu support for each campus.
  • Review, edit, and update NS recipes to ensure accurate nutritionals, allergens, and portion sizes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve errors in the CBORD system and provide remote support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely patient meal service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition or a nutrition-related field.
  • Two years of experience in Clinical Nutrition.
  • Two years of experience with electronic health records or nutritional analysis software.
  • Experience creating, evaluating, and scaling recipes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree.
  • CBORD database experience.
  • CBORD Nutrition Service Suite knowledge.
