About the position

The Clinical Operations Coordinator in the Health & Wellness Department plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of public health programs and services aimed at improving the health and quality of life for the community. This position involves collaboration with division leadership and various stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives and enhance organizational culture within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Implement division programs within the strategic framework of the department alongside the Division of Special Projects.
  • Contribute to a team dedicated to achieving excellence in programming and policy to advance division goals.
  • Work with division team and department peers to advance positive organizational culture development.
  • Participate in Public Health Emergency Preparedness activities in real or simulated emergencies as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Science Administration or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in community engagement, community organizing, and project coordination and implementation.
  • Certification as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid State of Michigan Operator License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and ordinances governing public health and clinical operations.
  • Broad knowledge of general clinical medical principles, standards, applications, and practices.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and public communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, follow-through, and timeliness.
  • Ability to implement and monitor compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Outstanding ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
