About the position

The Clinical Operations Coordinator at Syneos Health plays a crucial role in supporting the leadership team and ensuring effective communication and operational efficiency within clinical operations. This position involves planning, organizing, and coordinating activities to achieve clinical performance goals while fostering collaboration among various teams. The coordinator is responsible for training staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and improving operational efficiency in clinical studies.

Responsibilities

  • Support leadership team and communicate strategies and vision for clinical performance.
  • Help plan and organize the work unit's activities/operations, the work plan, and the needs of the division to achieve expected results.
  • Act as a liaison between different teams in Clinical Operations and address gaps in communication from clinical staff.
  • Coordinate with Clinical Study Managers for dry runs and floor setup.
  • Manage staff schedules to optimize project-related activities and support tasks for the project team.
  • Involved in Study schedule skeleton and Activity grid to provide feedback for operations on the floor.
  • Identify training needs and execute individual/team plans.
  • Evaluate staff for coach/mentor readiness in collaboration with management.
  • Provide effective feedback and corrective action for training and activities.
  • Train staff on protocol, PSP, timelines, and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and GCP regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
  • Assist operation managers in reviewing staff and study performance through onsite monitoring and support of clinical procedures.
  • Collaborate with all teams for quality improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support on clinical procedures.
  • Improve efficiency by managing queries and clinical tasks in real time during the project.
  • May be assigned other clinical tasks.

Requirements

  • College degree in life sciences, nursing, chemistry-biology, or equivalent of 2 years' experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in science is preferred.
  • Two years of relevant work experience is considered an asset.
  • Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Clinical software.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred for the US position.
  • Relative alternate certification may be considered acceptable.
