About the position

The Clinical Operations Coordinator at AdventHealth Tampa is a part-time role focused on managing the flow of operations within the organization, particularly in nursing services staffing. This position requires strong multitasking abilities, effective communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure patient-centered staffing and placement decisions. The coordinator acts as a liaison between various departments and external entities, ensuring efficient patient admissions and transfers while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage flow within the organization and oversee staffing for nursing services.
• Evaluate staffing for the next shift and make patient-centered moves by floating team members to areas of greatest need.
• Make daily adjustments including floats, staff call-outs, and additions in collaboration with the administrative nursing supervisor.
• Plan, prioritize, organize, direct, and control all admissions and transfers between nursing units and hospitals.
• Act as a liaison between referring hospitals, physician offices, and nursing departments regarding patient placement.
• Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
• Perform a variety of administrative reports and prepare correspondence in final form, ensuring professionalism.
• Maintain communication with referring physicians and transferring hospitals regarding bed availability or access delays.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of clinical experience.
• BLS/CPR certification.
