About the position

The Clinical Operations Director is responsible for the leadership and operational management of designated clinical operations within Specialty Based Care. This role focuses on achieving operational effectiveness, safety, quality, and patient experience goals. The director collaborates with the Executive Director of Clinical Operations and local leaders to ensure safe transitions for patients and to implement strategic objectives. The position requires oversight of clinical operations, compliance with regulatory standards, and the development of staff to maintain high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and patient safety within designated clinical operations.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and local leaders to implement clinical and operational strategic objectives.
  • Develop processes, tools, and policies for resource management and operational efficiency.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction and engagement goals are met or exceeded.
  • Lead and supervise clinical operations staff, focusing on coaching and development.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and standards of care in clinical nursing.
  • Manage financial aspects of clinical operations, including budget development and monitoring.
  • Foster an environment of professionalism and employee engagement.
  • Assure delivery of high-quality patient care through ongoing evaluation and improvement.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or Health Administration from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice as an RN in the State of Utah.
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Five years of leadership experience in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Experience in directing clinical areas and implementing clinical strategies.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet, e-mail, and scheduling applications.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a leadership role in a matrix environment.
  • Analytical skills and expertise in data management.
  • Five years of experience in nursing, business administration, or service-line specific.
