About the position

The Clinical Pharmacist position at Rite Aid is focused on providing clinical support to customers through various healthcare services, including medication management, immunizations, and adherence programs. This role ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies while engaging with customers to enhance their health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support customer whole health by providing healthcare services such as patient consultation, medication management, immunizations, and diagnostic testing.
  • Engage with customers both telephonically and in-person, anticipating their needs and proactively offering services.
  • Provide clinical expertise and decision-making skills to evaluate and discuss medication therapy management (MTM) and other healthcare opportunities with customers, collaborating with prescribers.
  • Participate in required learnings, trainings, and compliance-related activities throughout the execution of job duties.

Requirements

  • Pharm D. degree is required.
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing for the state of employment and eligibility for licensure in additional states is required.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization is required.
  • 3 years of experience as a registered pharmacist in a clinical or retail setting is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Technology savvy with experience using Windows-based software, including Microsoft Office suite, is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Pharmacist-based Point of Care Testing Certificate Program through an ACPE-accredited organization is preferred.
  • Pharmacist-based Hormonal Contraceptives Education Program through an ACPE-accredited organization is preferred.
