About the position

As a Clinical Pharmacist at CHI St Vincent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective prescribing and dispensing of medications for patients. Your responsibilities will include reviewing prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, and patient allergies, while also providing exceptional service to both patients and healthcare staff. This position requires a commitment to continuous learning and a dedication to delivering high-quality care in a faith-based, non-profit healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions in queue for safety and accuracy, checking patient's allergies, weight, renal function, and lab test results.
• Make recommendations for medication adjustments if errors are identified or if a better alternative is available.
• Review compounded or filled medications for accuracy after pharmacy technicians have completed them.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings to provide pharmacy resources and information to various healthcare groups.
• Deliver exceptional service to all patients and nurses filling orders.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy, including approved internship and/or residency.
• Must be licensed to practice in the State of Arkansas, or a graduate intern.
• Pharm D preferred, but not required.
• Previous acute care experience preferred, but not required.
