About the position

Lilly is seeking a Clinical Research Physician (CRP) with expertise in early clinical development, particularly in clinical pharmacology, to join a dedicated team focused on advancing multiple early clinical assets into first-in-human studies. The CRP will play a crucial role in the development, conduct, and reporting of global clinical trials for new compounds, ensuring compliance with regulations and collaborating with various teams to support the progression of clinical studies.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the overall strategy and clinical plan for clinical compounds.
  • Support preparation for first-in-human dosing studies including biomarker plans.
  • Collaborate with functional areas in the development of methods for assessing clinical safety pharmacology studies.
  • Design and oversee implementation of all clinical pharmacology studies.
  • Monitor patient safety during the conduct of studies and track adverse events.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) with relevant training.
  • At least 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience relevant to clinical trial design and conduct.
  • Board eligible or certified in appropriate specialty/subspecialty.

Nice-to-haves

  • Pharmaceutical company experience preferable.
  • Clinical and/or research experience in endocrinology, diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular, or renal research preferable.
  • Fluent in English; both written and verbal communications.
