About the position

The Clinical Program Coordinator at the Ba Palmer Eye Institute is responsible for coordinating internal and external information regarding refractive surgery procedures. This role involves evaluating program effectiveness, training staff, maintaining patient confidentiality, and developing relationships with patients and families. The coordinator will also handle marketing duties, track patient referrals, and ensure a positive patient experience throughout their journey.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates program effectiveness, analyzes results, and recommends appropriate action.
  • Coordinates program activities with other program, department or staff activities, ensuring optimum efficiency.
  • Trains, develops, and empowers staff to effectively perform their jobs.
  • Acts as a main point of contact for project funders, advisors, speakers, and participants, and recruits program participants, members, and volunteers.
  • Develops cooperative relationships with patients and families by projecting a positive image and creating a professional atmosphere.
  • Develops program communications and promotional literature for distribution, including newsletters, brochures, and flyers.
  • Prepares periodic reports, financial statements, and records for management or outside agencies.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality as well as the confidentiality of hospital business information.
  • Oversees the maintenance of established supply levels in unit and supply rooms.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in marketing is a plus.
  • Sales and customer service background a must!
  • Previous experience in the vision care field.
  • Prefer experience working with physicians.
  • Prefer knowledge of LASIK procedures and scans.
