About the position

The Clinical Program Pharmacist Principal plays a crucial role in managing clinical specialty programs and serves as the clinical liaison for assigned contracts. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical programs that align with the company's operational goals. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships effectively while ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of the programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of clinical program enhancements and best practices.
  • Assist with the development, enhancement, and maintenance of operational functions, policy, and clinical support.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project plan requirements and timelines.
  • Meet with business process owners to identify project goals, objectives, and success measures.
  • Work closely with teams to ensure consistent delivery of approved programs to clients.
  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of new specialty programs.
  • Assist in modifying implementation approaches within budget and operational frameworks.
  • Work jointly with Account Manager to ensure revenue goals are met.
  • Develop strong relationships with key contacts at the client level.
  • Support other functions throughout the program development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in clinical operations, quality, network, pharmacy, or project management.
  • Project management experience and knowledge of health plans required.
  • Provider experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, schedule, direct, control, and monitor project activities.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to perform basic financial analysis.
