About the position

The Clinical Program Pharmacist Principal plays a crucial role in managing clinical specialty programs and serves as a key liaison between the company and its clients. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical programs that align with the company's operational goals. The role requires strong project management skills, effective communication across departments, and the ability to analyze data to ensure program integrity and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of clinical program enhancements and best practices.
  • Assist with the development, enhancement, and maintenance of operational functions, policy, and clinical support.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project plan requirements and timelines.
  • Coordinate with business process owners to identify project goals and success measures.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of approved programs to clients and standardize operations.
  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of new specialty programs.
  • Assist in modifying implementation approaches within budget and operational frameworks.
  • Work jointly with Account Manager to manage revenue goals and administrative expenses.
  • Develop strong relationships with key contacts at the client level and within the company.
  • Support other functions throughout the program development lifecycle, including finance and IT.
  • Communicate frequently with clients to report program progress and maintain positive relationships.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all program metrics.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in clinical operations, quality, network, pharmacy, or project management.
  • Project management experience and knowledge of health plans are required.
  • Provider experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, schedule, direct, control, and monitor project activities.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to perform basic financial analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Registered Pharmacist (RPH) certification is required.
