About the position

The Clinical Psychologist position at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, involves serving as a Behavioral Health Consultant within the Primary Care Behavioral Health program. The role focuses on providing individual and group treatment using various therapeutic modalities, assessing mental health conditions, and conducting diagnoses in accordance with the DSM. The position requires a strong background in clinical psychology and the ability to work with a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Clinical Psychologist Behavioral Health Consultant for the Clinic and Behavioral Health System of Care (BHSOC).
  • Provide individual and group treatment using various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychoeducational classes.
  • Assess acute mental health and behavioral medicine conditions in beneficiaries.
  • Conduct mental health diagnoses in accordance with the DSM.
  • Assess and provide intervention for individuals with chronic medical conditions and behavioral health issues.

Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in clinical psychology.
  • Current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently.
  • At least one year of specialized experience in conducting psychological evaluations and providing psychological counseling services.
