About the position

The position involves working closely with Sales Representatives to assist in the planning, directing, and coordination of the marketing and promotion of Stryker products to physicians. The role requires frequent travel to cover for employees on leave and to maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring the effective selling of Stryker products while adhering to budgeted objectives and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales Representatives in marketing, promoting, and selling Stryker products when not covering for leaves of absence.
  • Market, promote, and sell Stryker products while covering for employees on leaves of absence.
  • Travel frequently, often on short notice, to perform sales tasks in multiple territories across the country.
  • Educate and inform healthcare professionals about the proper use and maintenance of Stryker products.
  • Tailor promotional messages based on customer knowledge and advise on appropriate product selection.
  • Direct product evaluations in operating room and office settings.
  • Assist in the preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and clinical meetings.
  • Keep the regional manager informed of territory progress regularly.
  • Solve product problems for customers efficiently.
  • Manage and maintain a sample inventory of products.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years in an outside sales position, preferably in medical-related fields.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree required.
  • Field sales training and successful completion of in-house product training program.
  • Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with large groups and telephonically.
  • Proficient in using common office equipment and driving an automobile.
