About the position

The Clinical Research Analyst position at Providence Swedish involves preparing, facilitating, coordinating, and submitting documentation required for clinical research in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role supports the protection of human subjects in research and includes responsibilities such as leading research assistants, providing on-the-job training, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The position is available for both Associate and Senior Clinical Research Analysts, with consideration based on qualifications. Remote work is possible, but candidates must be located within the Puget Sound/Seattle area.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, facilitate, coordinate, and submit documentation required by federal, state, and local regulations and institutional requirements relating to the conduct of research.
  • Prepare all submissions to the IRB to assure the protection of human subjects in research.
  • Handle FDA-required submissions including investigator 1572 forms, investigational new drug applications, and device submissions.
  • Lead the work of Research Assistants on a task-basis, if applicable.
  • Provide education and on-the-job training, set priorities, and schedule workflow to support project objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in science, healthcare, pharmacy, or related field, or significant experience in research coordination or regulatory work may substitute for educational requirements.
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare, research, or clinical setting with familiarity in regulatory compliance for Associate Clinical Research Analyst.
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare, research, or clinical setting for Senior Clinical Research Analyst, or five or more years of education or experience in clinical research and regulatory affairs may be accepted in lieu of the degree requirement.
