The Clinical Research Assistant will provide administrative and clinical support for the lab under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI). Major duties include assisting in the preparation, management, and daily use of critical laboratory resources, processing and packing/shipping biological specimens, obtaining liquid nitrogen and dry ice, and preparing lab kits and supplies. The role also involves disposing of biohazard material, maintaining confidential filing systems, performing data entry, and preparing correspondence. Additional responsibilities include answering phone calls, scanning documents, updating research charts, and assisting with tumor collection and freezing samples. The position requires travel between UCLA Westwood and COCPs and involves working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
