Join the HJF Team as a Clinical Research Assistant I, where you will play a vital role in the conduct of clinical research in conjunction with specified clinical research protocols. This position is integral to supporting translational and clinical research within the Infectious Diseases Directorate (IDD) at the Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC). Your primary responsibilities will include recruiting and screening new subjects for participation in clinical research studies, all while working under the guidance and direction of senior staff. The NMRC Clinical Trials Center (CTC) is a state-of-the-art facility located in Bethesda, MD, designed to conduct Phase 1 and 2 outpatient clinical trials. The CTC evaluates vaccines, therapeutics, prophylactics, and medical devices in human subjects, aiming to advance innovative products from the laboratory to the front line, thereby maximizing the medical readiness of the Warfighter. As a Clinical Research Assistant I, you will support these clinical trial activities, ensuring high-quality research that facilitates the development of infectious disease countermeasures for US military personnel. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining recruitment materials and strategies, reviewing subject records, scheduling appointments, and assisting with monitoring audits. You will also be tasked with interviewing subjects, collecting and analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice and federal regulations.
