About the position

The Clinical Research Assistant II position at Boston Children's Hospital focuses on supporting intervention-based research aimed at enhancing communication, teamwork, patient safety, and equity in healthcare delivery, particularly for individuals who communicate in languages other than English. The role involves assisting with multicenter randomized controlled trials and various research methodologies, including primary data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with scheduling meetings, sending calendar invites, and coordinating calls between program affiliates.
  • Providing administrative support for clinical trials, including organizing meetings and assisting with trial logistics.
  • Coordinating and preparing documentation for Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Committee on Clinical Investigations (CCI) submissions.
  • Creating and preparing data collection reports and analytical summaries for the research team.
  • Providing administrative support in the training of newly hired research study assistants.
  • Supporting grant writing, preparation, and submissions, ensuring timely completion of documentation.
  • Maintaining the program website and social media, ensuring content is up to date.
  • Creating training materials on language equity best practices for clinicians and researchers.
  • Supporting a multilingual translation and cultural adaptation collaborative.
  • Creating and maintaining a library of translated research and clinical materials.
  • Conducting mixed-methods, language equity-focused research, including organizing data collection.
  • Assisting with patient and staff recruitment for research studies, ensuring informed consent and accurate documentation.
  • Evaluating the suitability of prospective study candidates and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Assisting with the publication of scholarship and presentations promoting language equity.
  • Coordinating community outreach events as needed.
  • Performing miscellaneous administrative duties to ensure smooth program operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or Psychology with a minimum of 2 years of research experience.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A passion for language equity.

Nice-to-haves
