About the position

The Clinical Research Assistant will support the clinical and recruitment teams at Clinical Research of West Florida's Clearwater site. This role involves patient recruitment and clinical support, ensuring efficient operations in conducting clinical trials and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on all leads within a timely manner
• Prescreen potential patients for various indications
• Update database/portals accordingly
• Forward prescreened leads to the coordinators for further review and to determine eligibility
• Manage campaign portals and make initial contact with new leads from campaigns
• Assist marketing manager and coordinators with recruitment calls for studies
• Request medical records for all prescreened and screened patients
• Redact and upload subject records into the database system
• Update and track patient prescreening logs
• Assist coordinators with clinical assessments including vitals, ECGs, and ICF
• Assist with preparation of lab kits and obtaining/processing samples for subject visits
• Assist lab manager on inventory of supplies and breakdown of kits
• Assist with administration tasks such as filing and requesting medical records
• Attend SIVs and meet with monitors as required
• Complete all study required trainings prior to working on clinical trial
• Assist with creation of study source documents and other study materials
• Act as an Unblinded Pharmacist if needed, obtaining, preparing, and dispensing study medication per protocol specific guidelines
• Maintain drug accountability records and confidentiality/study medication blind.

Requirements

• Valid CPR Certification
• Strong organizational skills
• Outstanding customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision
