About the position
The Clinical Research Coordinator Intern at the University of Michigan's Neurology Clinical Trials Organization (NeCTO) is responsible for providing study coordination for multiple clinical research studies of varying complexity. This role requires a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills to support principal investigators and research teams in executing clinical trials effectively. The position involves a blend of clinical coordination, data management, regulatory compliance, and administrative support, with opportunities for professional development and participation in clinical research committees.
Responsibilities
- Perform study procedures with accuracy and manage complex study concerns.
- Schedule, prepare for, and attend study initiation meetings, monitor visits, and audits.
- Contribute to the development of processes and tools for data capture in accordance with ALCOA-C principles.
- Create case report forms (CRFs), study documents, and tools, and resolve complicated queries.
- Monitor site compliance with subject safety reporting and enhance subject safety during clinical studies.
- Provide logistic and regulatory guidance on Investigator Initiated Studies for adherence to guidelines.
- Manage subject reimbursement and payments for study activities.
- Participate in trainings to maintain certification as a Clinical Research Professional.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Science or equivalent education and experience.
- Certification as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) is required, with eligibility to register or take the exam at the date of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of directly related experience in clinical research and clinical trials.
- Experience with Investigator-Initiated clinical trials.
