About the position

The Center for Behavioral Health and Technology (CBHT) at UVA is seeking applicants for a Study Coordinator for an NIH-funded project. This position involves close collaboration with the Principal Investigator (PI) and the research team to manage study-related administrative and operational activities. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this role. We are particularly interested in hiring self-motivated individuals who can work both independently and within a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for study-related administrative issues.
• Schedule team meetings and take detailed notes during discussions.
• Lead participant recruitment efforts, including conducting phone interviews and reviewing online interest forms submitted by potential participants.
• Delegate tasks to study research assistants.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the project.
• Assist the PI in managing IRB documents and other study-related administrative tasks.
• Provide administrative assistance for other CBHT projects as needed.
• Support the planning, management, and tracking of the intervention build for the trial.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, communication strategies, QA plans, and risk management plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent combination of experience, education and or certifications.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree with at least four years of experience. A Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Experience managing clinical trials.
• Strong technical and non-technical writing skills.
• Experience working in an academic environment.
• Proven ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively.
